Do you remember how exciting field trips were when you were young? It was a welcome break from classroom monotony and a chance to go explore some really cool places. Last Friday, we took a break to go visit one of our favorite local dealers, Ward and Child. It’s hard to believe this is a real place, not just a figment of an artistically designed imagination.
One of the owners, Jerry, took us through their vibrant indoor showroom and showed us their crown jewel: the infamous secret garden. Locals swear that just one visit to the Ward and Child garden has the ability to cure anything that ails you.* (*okay, so maybe not “anything” but it definitely brightened our spirits!)
The sounds from the gurgling fountains in the back of the garden drowned out the noises from the passing cars, creating a tranquil outdoor escape right in the middle of the city.
If you’re anything like us, you know how intoxicating an artistically designed showroom can be. We wished we could spend all weekend roaming around the store. Their indoor space was full of punchy patterns, clean lines, coastal hues, and ambient lighting. Inspiration hit us as soon as we stepped inside but seeing our very own Elements collection featured in the midst of all this lush greenery really warmed our hearts.
So congrats to the Ward and Child team! You’re doing a stellar job at inspiring backyard enthusiasts in the Salt Lake City area. If you live nearby or are planning a trip, we highly recommend you check them out! You won’t be disappointed. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable on all things home and garden design. Plus, if you’re lucky, you’ll get to say hello to this fluffy wonder.
Such a heartbreaker…
